Faith Formation

Wonder and Wisdom
“Wonder and Wisdom” brings together young and old—and folks in between—around a simple meal, where questions, insights, and a sense of wonder are all welcome. We celebrate the loving presence of God among us, pray for one another, and enjoy each other’s company. Sometimes we play a game or create something together; sometimes there’s a surprise; and always we are glad to have been together.

Family and Youth Ministry
Children and youth are fully integrated into our common life at Christ Lutheran Church, lending their talents to various musical groups, the Congregation Council, the rosters of readers and Altar Guild, or spearheading service projects for the whole congregation.

Sometimes, though, youth members gather with or without their families for service, spiritual growth, hikes, and simply having fun. Gail Weston-Roberts brings a deep and contagious faith and boundless creativity to her role as Youth and Family Coordinator.

Adult Forum
Led by our Pastor, the Sunday morning group gathers to hear guest speakers, explore topics of social justice, Lutheran practice, Bible study, and contemporary culture.

Bible Study
During the four weeks of Advent and the six weeks of Lent CLC members lead reflections on Biblical texts appointed for those days. Musical offerings accompany the reflections.

November Vesper Services
Since 2015 the church has held an annual Evening Prayer service featuring a guest speaker who focuses on a justice issue: peace in Israel, racism, consumerism, climate change, immigration. The choir prepares special music for the event.  A meal and lively conversation with the speaker follows the service.
