Those who are prepared to take the step of active membership at Christ Lutheran Church are received:
By baptism: Adults who have never been baptized meet with the pastor, usually over a period
of months, to prepare for the Sacrament of Baptism which takes place at a worship service.
Parents who bring children to be baptized meet with the pastor to prepare for the baptism.
By transfer: Those who have been active members of another Lutheran church or one of our ecumenical partners (Episcopal, United Methodist, Moravian, United Church of Christ, Presbyterian, Reformed Church in America) are received by a letter of transfer and welcomed at a worship service.
By affirmation of faith: Those who have been baptized but who have not been active participants in another Christian community may join by participating in an Affirmation of Faith at a worship service.
