Pastor Christephor hails from Louisville, Kentucky and received his
Master of Divinity at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.  For
2019-2023 Christephor served as pastor to St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in
Portland, Maine and currently serves the New England Synod Council of
the ELCA as member and chaplain.

In his formation to become a Pastor, Christephor had the privilege to
serve St. Pauls House, Bonaventure House, and Resurrection Lutheran in
Chicago; Faith Lutheran in Fort Wayne, Indiana; and St. Paul Lutheran in
Arlington, Massachusetts. He also worked for two years as the
Communications and Development Coordinator for Extraordinary Lutheran
Ministries, an organization that affirms and supports LGBTQIA+ rostered
leaders and those pursuing a call to rostered leadership.  He is a
member of Proclaim, the professional organization for Lutheran pastors,
deacons, candidates, and seminarians who publicly identify as LGBTQIA+.

As a second career Pastor, Christephor also has an extensive background
in the performing arts, including work as a dancer and choreographer,
actor, costume designer and director (BA theatre and dance/Bard College;
MFA dance/University of Hawaii).  Prior to entering seminary,
Christephor worked as the Program Manager for the Kentucky Center
Governor’s School for the Arts and completed a Master of Arts in
Spirituality at Bellarmine University in Louisville.

Christephor resides in Natick with his husband Donald and two cats: 
Ariel and Elliot.
